First Haircut!

This is the before shot if you can't tell.

I don't know what it is about "firsts" that brings a tear to a Mommy's eye. . .I feel kinda lame about it! Maybe it's the realization that your baby isn't a baby anymore--they're growing up and learning and trying new things. Not only that, but doing new things with confidence! That happened to me twice in the past couple of weeks! The first was having Leila ice skate for the first time (with absolutely no fear and hasn't stopped talking about it since) and second was her getting her haircut for the first time ever! It's taken a long time for her to get to this point! Actually, no. It's taken me a long time to get around to getting her a haircut. Because although she was born bald and remained so for a good long while, truthfully, her hair has been pretty mullet-esc for awhile now!

The girl who cut Leila's hair was impressed that she didn't cry. She said kids Leila's age normally do. Yay Leila! What a champ!
